Lovelady Graduate Chosen as the Go Build Alabama August Trainee of the Month

When Charity signed up for Jefferson State Community College's Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) program she was a little nervous that she might not fit in. However, her worries quickly disappeared after meeting her diverse classmates and her instructor.

Charity had some prior experience with heavy equipment working with her brother's company in Arkansas, and she applied all of her knowledge and skills to master the NCCER (National Career Readiness Certificate) curriculum, complete the 12-week course, and earn her certification.

Charity worked hard for her HEO certification, as well as her Lovelady Program Graduation Certificate

If a Lovelady Takes Full Advantage of the Initiatives Offered in Her Program, She Will Not Fail

Now, thanks to Charity's hard work and the help of Jeff State's Center for Workforce Education, she has secured a job with Dunn Construction.

We are so very proud of Charity and all the Loveladies who have decided to take control of their future, and we are so grateful for the empowering partnerships we have with those who give our women a step up into their future.

National Career Readiness Certificate

The ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (ACT WorkKeys NCRC®) is an assessment-based credential issued at four levels; Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The NCRC measures and certifies the essential work skills needed for success in jobs across industries and occupations.

Fifty-three Lovelady women have obtained the WorkKeys certification so far this year. That is Fifty-three women who will earn a viable wage in their new life. Fifty-three women now have options, not obstacles. Fifty-three women do not just believe they can, they also know they can.
